It Is What It Is Fitness was built from strength, struggle, and the will to keep going.

I’m Bernadette Mullins — and I know what it means to fight for your life. After a double lung transplant, I faced sciatica, rheumatoid arthritis, and bulging discs that left me unable to walk. The pain was constant, and for a long time, I felt like life just wouldn’t give me a break.

Then I realized something powerful: with God, I can do all things. 🙏 I had to save my own life, one step at a time. I started small — just walking around the pool, five minutes a day — and little by little, I rebuilt my strength and my faith.

Today, I still deal with post-transplant challenges and daily pain, but that’s okay — because I’m okay. Each day, I get better and better. As a believer, I continue to fight the good fight of faith, and I want to help others do the same.

Beyond fitness, I bring over 30 years of experience in sales, recruiting, training, and consulting, and more than 20 years as an entrepreneur. Those experiences taught me that consistency, perseverance, and belief in yourself can transform anything — in business, in health, and in life.
